As they say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But when it’s time to choose from the menu, the decision gets quite tough and tricky. Some stick to their traditional brekkie, while others call out for a western spread. But not all countries start their day with the same kind of food and it’s interesting how breakfast changes as you move just a few degrees away.
In India, breakfast varies by region, however, Australia loves cold cereal, toast with vegemite. While Chinese prefers their youtiao (a type of doughnut) with soy milk, Indonesians prefer nasi goreng — fried egg/meat/seafood and fried rice. In Japan, people either prefer their traditional wafuu or western which is youfuu for breakfast. Wafuu breakfast has rice, fish, miso soup, sticky soybeans, nori seaweed, while youfuu has buttered toast, eggs, coffee, potato salad.
