And now, just to make you feel really bad about yourself, let us tell you about people who have lost tonnes by eating their favourite food and their diet even went viral in no time. Though we don’t support any of these diets and believe in a proper and healthy eating with regular exercise, here we have listed some of the weirdest ones.

1. The Biryani Diet

23-year-old Hyderabad lad Nishanth Appari ate chicken biryani thrice a day for 50 days straight. Not only he did not gain a single pound, he also reduced a lot. Nishanth ate around 50 packets of biryani in 6- days and lost 3 kgs and 2 inches as told to ScoopWhoop. He is a certified personal trainer from the America Council on Exercise and the Founder of Beeryani Fitness. He spent around 5000 on the experiment and was regular at his workout sessions.

2. Coconut Water Diet

Might sound weird but two young men, Anuj and Ishant decided to travel through Orissa on just coconut water for one month. Two months ago, they started their journey and just after three days Ishant gave up. But Anuj held on and lost 14 kgs in one month. Their entire journey is documented on an Instagram account, named sirfnariyal. Well, the first thing he ate after ending up his diet was homemade upma and curd.

3. The Beer And Sausage Diet

In 2011, a news of an Arizona man losing weight after being on the beer and sausage diet for a month went viral. 44-year-old Evo Terra dropped from 195 to 177 pounds in 30 days. He consumed an average of about 1,500 calories. His diet included high-quality sausages and craft ale. He even used bun with sausages sometimes and added onions and peppers to them.

4. Starbucks Diet

In 2012, 66-year-old Christine Hall claimed to have lost 85 pounds by eating all her meals at Starbucks. She chose a low-calorie breakfast item like oatmeal for breakfast while bistro box of fruit and cheese for lunch and a panini for dinner which helped her lose weight. However, the diet was not appreciated by the dieticians. According to them, Starbucks diet could lead to malnutrition and one stopped, she might regain the weight.

5. The Subway Diet

26-year-old Jared Fogle is known as The Subway Guy as he ate the sandwiches from the brand and lost 245 pounds in a year. After struggling with his weight loss issues for years, one day Jared decided to skip breakfast and go for two subs a day — a small turkey and a large veggie. He also had some baked potato chips and diet soda. He soon switched from 10,000 calories per day to 2000 calories a day. He continued the diet for a year.
