Proud moment for India! ISRO creates world record by launching 104 satellites, Twitter reacts

Reacting on ISRO's success, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cine star Amitabh Bachchan and other politicians took to their Twitter handle to congratulate ISRO.

In a proud moment for every Indian, its space agency Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on February 15 created a world record by launching 104 satellites in a single flight of PSLVC37 from the Sriharikota rocket port in Andhra Pradesh.

This historic launch was took place at 9.28 am on Wednesday with major cargo being the 714 kg Indian Cartosat-2 series satellite.

With this launch, India has become the first country to script history. Earlier, the Russian Space Agency had successfully launched 37 satellites in one go.

Reacting on this success, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cine star Amitabh Bachchan and other politicians took to their Twitter handle to congratulate ISRO.

The PSLV-XL variant rocket standing 44.4 metre tall and weighing 320 ton tore into the morning skies at 9.28 a.m total weight of all the satellites carried on-board is about 1,378 kg.

The countdown for the launch of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)’s 39th flight began on Tuesday after it got an approval from the Mission Readiness Review committee and Launch Authorisation Board for the lift off.
