Sui Dhaaga-Made in India: Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma salute the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi in this video

Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma took to Twitter and posted a video and salute the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi. They will next be seen in Sui Dhaaga - Made in India

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Monday, October 2, Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma took to Twitter to salute Mahatma Gandhi and everyone who supports Make In India movement. The duo has joined hands for the first time in Yash Raj production Sui Dhaaga – Made in India, a story of self-reliance aimed to connect with every Indian.

Sharing a special video on his Twitter page, Varun wrote: “Exclusive, Asli Made In India. Baapu ko team Sui Dhaaga Film ka salaam, Gandhi Jayanthi.” In the video, one can see the duo talking about Mahatma Gandhi and his movement of ‘Swadeshi Apnao’.

Anushka Sharma also shared the video on her Twitter page and captioned it as: “To the man who began the #MadeInIndia journey. We salute the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi. Sui Dhaaga Film.”

Check out the video here:

To be directed by Sharat Katariya and written by Maneesh Sharma, the film will go on the floors from January next year.  This is the first time Varun and Anushka will be seen sharing the screen space.

Earlier while talking about his collaboration, the Judwaa 2 actor said that he is proud to take Gandhiji and Prime Minister Narendra Modiji’s Made in India message to millions of movie lovers in a manner that is entertaining and relevant. He was quoted as saying:

From Gandhiji to Modiji, our country’s leaders have always endorsed the mantra of Made in India. With ‘Sui Dhaaga’, I am proud to take their message to millions of movie lovers in a manner that is entertaining and relevant. I really liked the script Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this movie. Anushka and I are teaming up for the first time so I am sure there will be fireworks.

Sui Dhaaga – Made in India will hit the screens on Gandhi Jayanti 2018.
