Raees Box Office Collection Day 7: Shah Rukh Khan film crosses Rs 200 crore worldwide

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees has broken the January jinx of Bollywood and has emerged as a box office winner. Despite being in competition with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, the film is strongly moving ahead as far as collections are concerned.

Raees crossed Rs 100 crore mark within 6 days of its release and is not only ruling the box-office domestically but has also set the international market on fire. The film has collected Rs 60.75 crore from the overseas circuit and has made its debut within Top 10 for the opening weekend at the Norway box office, collecting Rs 55.2 lakhs so far.

And domestically, the movie has so far minted an amount of Rs 100.75 crore and is the fastest to reach the 100 crore club in Bollywood, as compared with Kaabil which also released on the same day.

In fact, the team of Raees hosted a grand party on Monday to celebrate the success of the film, which was attended by the whole star-cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sunny Leone.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees is set in the backdrop of Gujarat in the 80s and also marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. While Shah Rukh portrays the character of a wicked bootlegger Raees Alam, Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the role of a cop whose sole motive is to put him behind the bars.
