Raees Box Office Collection Day 14: Shah Rukh Khan’s film hits triple century worldwide

After the film's ban in Pakistan, the collection will surely be affected and there are chances that Kaabil might surpass Raees to be the ultimate winner

Despite being banned by the censor board in Pakistan, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees is making its mark worldwide. The film has crossed Rs 300 crore mark globally and is all set to enter RS 200 crore club in the coming weeks domestically.

After becoming the first film of 2017 to enter Rs 100 crore club, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees is going really strong at the box office. Raees has also ranked number one in India and UAE, when it comes to the worldwide opening weekend collections.

The film did a business of Rs  4.75 crore on Monday and crossed the Rs 150-crore mark in India. minting a total of Rs 151.25 crore so far domestically.

The film was in competition with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, as they both released on the same date. But Raees, left behind Kaabil at the box office and made its mark worldwide.

But after the film’s ban in Pakistan, the collection will surely be affected and there are chances that Kaabil might surpass Raees to be the ultimate winner. Though many of the film critics think that Raees is a mediocre film, his performance was highly praised by audience and the fans.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees is set in the backdrop of Gujarat in the 80s and also marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. While Shah Rukh portrays the character of a wicked bootlegger Raees Alam, Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the role of a cop whose sole motive is to put him behind the bars.
