Force 2 vs Tum Bin II at Box Office: The John-Sonakshi film leads the first weekend collection race

While Force 2 leads the Box Office race and Tum Bin 2 fails, is the collection of John Abraham-Sonakshi Sinha's film at par with our expectations?

John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha’s Force 2 clashed with Anubhav Sinha’s Tum Bin II last week and we are here with the box office reports of both the movies.

Tum Bin II

Tum Bin II is a sequel to the 2001 romantic film Tum Bin. While Tum Bin was a surprise hit at the box office, seems like the sequel hasn’t gone at par with the expectations. As per the Box Office India, the Neha Sharma, Aashim Gulati and Aditya Seal starrer has raked in Rs 65 lakh net approx on day 1 as per the reports. On day 2, the movie gathered Rs 80 lakh at the ticket window. While the official figures are awaited, the weekend collection of the film is expected to be around Rs 2.45 crore.

Force 2

The action thriller of  is way ahead in the race in comparison to Tum Bin II. However, if you look out at the Force 2, it’s collection, on the whole, has got a slow start in comparison to what was expected. As per the Box Office India, the collection of Force 2 on day 1 was  nearly Rs 5.05 crores.  On the second day, the movie earned nearly Rs 6 crore taking its tally to almost Rs 12 crore. The collection of the film is growing steadily. The official first-weekend collection of Force 2 is yet to be out but the film is expected to have garnered around Rs 18 crore.

Apart from competing with each other, the movies are facing a tough competition with Doctor Strange and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them at the box office.

Force 2 boasts of some adrenaline rushing action sequences. Will it be able to excel? Only time will tell

On the other hand, the romantic movie Tum Bin 2 was made on a decent budget of 12 crores. However, if collections are to go by, it seems really difficult for the movie to reach a promising mark.
