Sewan blast aftermath: Pakistan claims 100 terrorists killed in massive manhunt

Launching a massive manhunt after terror attack at Lal Shahbaz Qalander shrin in Pakistan’s Sindh province that claimed lives of 75 people, security forces have killed ‘100 terrorists.’ Pakistan Army on February 17 claimed to have killed more than 100 suspected terrorists in retaliation to an ISIS suicide bombing.

During operations update on February 17 the military reports claimed, “over 100 terrorists were said to be killed since last night and sizable apprehensions were also made,” said a report published by ‘Indian Express’.

According to the reports publishes in leading Pakistani daily ‘dawn.com’ Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif condemned the terror attack. Nawaz said, “the Sufi people predate Pakistan’s history, and played an important part in the struggle for its formation,” he said.

“An attack on them is a direct threat to Jinnah’s Pakistan and will be dealt as such,” the Nawaz Sharif asserted.
The military spokesman Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said, “intelligence agencies are making progress to unearth networks behind recent (terrorist) incidents.”

Major General Asif Ghafoor took to Twitter and posted a strong message against the attack. He said, “Recent terrorist acts are being executed on directions from hostile powers and from sanctuaries in Afghanistan. We shall defend and respond.”

In a separate operation in Peshawar, Police killed three terrorists in the early hours of February 17. Operation was launched after police received intelligence inputs regarding presence of terrorists.
