27 killed, 70 injured in double suicide attack near Afghan parliament

Taliban spokesperspon Zabihullah Mujahid claimed the responsibility for the attacks.

At least 27 people were killed and 70 others wounded in a double suicide attack occurred on Tuesday in the vicinity of the Afghan parliament in the capital Kabul, officials said.

“First, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives vest just outside the al-Haqqi building of parliament and was followed by a second suicide car bomb attack,” an Interior Ministry source told Efe news.

The official further said that the exact number of casualties remains unclear. The death toll is likely to rise further.

Those killed include civilian and military personnel.
