Nokia 9 may cost Rs 45,000 suggest reports, here’s what you should know

Nokia is planning a major comeback in the high-end smartphone market with Nokia 9

After making a stellar comeback at the Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC 2017) with the rejigged model of its iconic Nokia 3310, the Finnish smartphone maker is ready to take the smartphone space by a storm. The tech giant is all set to launch its high-end flagship smartphone Nokia 9.

According to a report by the NokiaPowerUser, the company would unveil Nokia 9 in the third quarter of 2017 between July and August. The report further suggests that the purported smartphone would be priced around EUR 749 in the European markets, $699 in the United States and Rs 44,999 in India.

On the specifications front, Nokia 9 would be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat. It would sport a 5.5-inch QHD OLED display and feature an iris scanner and a fingerprint scanner. The flagship device would come with a 22 MP Dual-Lens Carl-Zeiss rear camera and a 12MP front-facing camera.

It would feature 6 GB RAM with 64 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128 GB storage via a microSD card. Apart from these, Nokia 9 is likely to feature Qualcomm’s Quick-Charge 4 technology, Nokia’s very own OZO audio enhancement technology and IP68 certification, making the phone resistant to water and dust.

HMD global, the company that holds rights to market Nokia, will also launch Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 3310 this year in India. The four smartphones run on Android operating system and would hit the market in the second quarter of 2017 around May.
