The wait is finally over as the iconic Nokia 3310 is finally going on sale in India on Thursday. Earlier this week, HMD Global, the company that holds exclusive rights to manufacture phones under the brand name Nokia, announced that the rejigged version of Nokia 3310 (2000) would be available via offline stores from May 18, 2017. The phone is finally hitting the stores, after a long wait, today.

It will be available in four peppy shades– Warm Red, Yellow, both of which sport a glossy appeal, Dark Blue and Grey, both of which sport a matte appeal,  at Rs 3,310.

Talking about the specification, the new Nokia 3310 sports a 2.4-inch polarised display and runs on Series 30+ operating system. The phone comes with beautiful push buttons that have a nostalgic appeal.

Unlike the old model, Nokia 3310 (2017) features a 2MP rear camera with LED flash.

The device is available in both single-SIM and dual-SIM variants and comes with only 2G connectivity. The phone comes with 6MB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

To recall, Nokia had launched Nokia 3310 17 years ago in 2000. The phone had a 1.5-inch screen and was available in two colour variants — grey and blue. The phone was widely popular at the time owing to its unbreakable design and Snakes, the first video game that got users hooked to the phone’s tiny screen. However, the company discontinued the phone in 2005.
