According to a 2017 report by the Indian Council of Medical Research, every second heart attack patient in India takes more than 400 minutes to reach a hospital. This is over 13 times the ideal time of 30 minutes.
But a viral video shot on March 22 in Palakkad, Kerala shows how mass coordination can effectively give way to ambulances. While celebrating Mannarkkad Pooram, one of the oldest temple festivals in Kerala, festival-goers gave way to an ambulance within seconds, leaving many impressed on social media.

Don’t know how, but despite having narrow roads, that too many without dividers, Kerala traffic has always been sensitive to ambulances. Vehicles can be seen pulling up aside from the road.
