Durex wished newlyweds Virat and Anushka, and Twitter cracked the most obvious joke

Durex came out to congratulate the brand new couple in a bold yet quirky way. Check out what they tweeted:

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma got married on December 11 and social media is still reeling over their wedding photos. As everyone watched the gorgeous pictures and videos yesterday, social media seems to have fallen in love with the cute couple all over again. But turns out that not just their fandom, but Durex too had been anticipating their nuptials.

The brand, that is know for its cheesy yet successful social media campaigns, came out to ‘congratulate’ the couple in a way that’s reminiscent of uncles and aunties who crack inappropriate jokes to publicly embarrass you:

Finally, Virat Kohli bowled his maiden over. #VirushkaKiShadi pic.twitter.com/skZWdcn20y

The brand put out a super cheeky tweet saying ‘Let nothing come between you except..’ and strategically placed the Durex logo below the text. While we’re not sure how Virat and Anushka will react to this, they got Twitter LOLing pretty hard. Here’s what people had to say:

Hilarious.

Some people took a jibe at the whole ‘no condom ads between 6am to 10pm’ thingy:

Can you post such tweets before 6PM?

Sahi Hai Boss! Banning these Ads on TV doesn’t make any difference nowadays. Social media ki ‘Jai Ho’.
