Ram Gopal Varma takes offense on Romeo’s behalf, offers way too many suggestions to Yogi Adityanath

Popular and controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is 'baffled' with the name Anti-Romeo Squad, has some suggestions for Yogi Adityanath

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, aka RGV, is very active on microblogging site Twitter these days (because what else would he do), and has several rather insane suggestions for Yogi Adityanath’s government. How he finds so much time from his busy schedule of making terrible films is still a mystery nobody’s trying to solve.  As far as RGV’s opinions are concerned, we are just confused and it seems, so is he.

Of late, Yogi Adityanath government’s Anti-Romeo squad is in news for all wrong reasons and everyone has something to say about it. Day before yesterday, when Prashant Bhushan compared Romeo with Krishna, and before an FIR was lodged against him, RGV had an opinion on it too. Although it’s been two days since, Ram Gopal Varma is unable to get over it. No, we aren’t saying it’s bad but only that he wants to rename the Anti-Romeo squad and the creative being inside him isn’t satisfied.

He is extremely disturbed with the idea of using Romeo’s name instead of eve-teasers and he is trying to find an alternative to it. Till now, he has come up with names like Anti Eve Teasers Squad, Anti Devdas Squad  but the artist within him refuses to give up. He is still trying to improvise, it seems and is undertaking a lot of research work on this project. So, Yogi Adityanath’s governement can wait until he comes up with a perfect name, which satifies his inner genius. Apart from that, he also has some burning questions for the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Read the tweets below:

I am baffled with the name of Anti Romeo Squads…How can Romeo a revered lover be a synonym for a Eve teasing goon?

— Ram Gopal Varma (@RGVzoomin) April 4, 2017

Am sure the thought originated from the slang phrase Road side Romeo but it’s irresponsible to use that word through a governmental diktat

The word Romeo is actually romanticising the wrong doers..A name like Anti Eve Teasers Squad would have been much more apt and pertinent

If in india he can call them Anti Romeo Squads will YogiAdityanath be ok if Italians call same groups in their country Anti Krishna Squads?

— Ram Gopal Varma (@RGVzoomin) April 4, 2017

After some twitter users bashed him for calling it Anti-Krishna Squad and being sympathetic to Romeo, he improvised on the name once again:

@RGVzoomin So u mean to say romeo is a god to the Italians?! People like u should be banned on twitter.
