Geeta Phogat’s Instagram photos with husband Pawan Kumar are a thing of beauty

Aamir Khan was so inspired by Geeta Phogat's story that he decided to make a Bollywood movie, Dangal, which is based on her life.

Indian wrestler Geeta Phogat got married to Delhi-based wrestler Pawan Kumar this January. The two look adorable together and her lovely Instagram photographs are proof of it. For those who did not watch the Commonwealth Games in 2010, or Dangal and do not know anything about Geeta Phogat, here’s a quick introduction. Geeta Phogat is a freestyle wrestler and won India its first gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. She also became the first Indian female wrestler to qualify for the Olympics in 2012.

Aamir Khan’s movie, Dangal, was inspired by the challenges faced by Geeta Phogat’s father Mahavir Singh Phogat, played by Aamir Khan, who trained Geeta Phogat and her sisters to become wrestling champions. Aamir Khan was so inspired by her story that he decided to make a Bollywood movie based on her life, which has gone on to break major Box Office records.

Geeta married Pawan, a wrestler and a bronze medal winner at Commonwealth Games (2014). She is quite active on Instagram, and keeps posting adorable pictures with her husband and they are too precious to miss.
