It was an action-packed game that came right down to the wire but Gujarat Fortunegiants and Haryana Steelers settle for a draw. The final score was 27-27 but that was not the story in the whole game. It was a spirited effort from Haryana Steelers who made their way back into the game from a deficit of 23-11. It was Surjeet Singh who brought them back into the game picking up 6 points on his raids, three by touch and 3 as bonus points. He had support from raider Vikas Khandola who picked by 7 raid points.

Though the Haryana Steelers did not start off well and made a few tactical errors by holding Surjeet back. On the other hand, it was a complete team effort from Gujarat Fortunegiants who could not make use of the massive lead and succumbed to the pressure in the latter part of the second half created by Haryana Steelers.

At half-time, the game was nicely poised at 11-8 with Gujarat leading but at the end of the game, they had to share 3 points each on the Pro Kabaddi League 2017 standings. On the other hand, Haryana Steelers are yet to win a game in the tournament.

Gujarat threatened early on, racing away to a 4-0 lead. Sachin earned two touch points to open Gujarat’s account. Haryana’s Wazir Singh sidestepped while returning from a raid as Gujarat led 3-0. Rakesh Singh was touched out by Sachin making it 4-0.
