India’s Jitu Rai wins bronze 10m air pistol. Yesterday, the duo of Heena Sidhu and Jitu Rai bagged gold in the mixed event in the same category. Both of them ironically did not live up to the expectations at the Rio Olympics. But now shooting on home soil they have stepped up their game and has been bringing home joy.

Jitu Rai if one remembers was the frontrunner going into the Olympics last year, a lot of hopes had been pinned on him. This will surely boost the confidence of the Indian shooters and keep them in good stead for their upcoming tournaments.

It seems Indian shooting is on the right track and the future seems hopeful. In the past India has been blessed with ace shooters like Abhinav Bindra, Gagan Narand and Raghuvendra Rathore.
