MS Dhoni way more popular than Virat Kohli as Indian cricket captain: InUth poll

MS Dhoni is nearly three times as popular as Virat Kohli as Indian cricket captain.

Even though he has hung his boots as Indian captain, MS Dhoni continues to be massively popular.

According to an InUth Facebook poll, Dhoni’s popularity as captain surpasses that of Kohli by nearly three times.

The Facebook live poll was conducted on Thursday. 3,433 of those who reacted chose Dhoni as a better captain, compared to 1,233 respondents who favoured Virat Kohli.

Dhoni announced last night that he would be stepping down as India’s T20 and ODI captain ahead of India’s limited over series with England. Dhoni led India to two world cup victories, one each in T20 and ODI, and is believed by many to be India’s most successful captain.

Delhi-batsman Virat Kohli is likely to be appointed as India’s new captain.
