It is a perform or perish situation for DD as they have already lost 6 out of 8 games. If they are to qualify for playoffs, they need to win all the 6 games they are to play next. On the other hand, SRH have played like true ‘Defending Champions’ as they have won 6 out of 10 games and placed at 3rd position.
With David Warner in his prime form, he will be a threat to Delhi’s formidable bowling lineup. He scored a century in the previous game. If he gets going DD can bid goodbye their chance to win at home. SRH have won most of their games playing at their home ground, despite their form, the batting lineup will be tested at Kotla. SRH’s batting has all the firepower with Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson in form.

If Yuvraj Singh gets going, they will dominate Delhi and post a gigantic total if they bat first or chase a total over 200 without any problem. SRH’s bowling lineup too has been top notch with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan leading the attack. Youngsters Sidharth Kaul and Mohammed Siraj have been a revelation in this season.

As far as Delhi are concerned if their domestic talents do not fire, they will be under a lot of pressure like they bundled out in the previous game for 67. We might see a few changes in the side if Zaheer Khan does not play, Karun Nair is most likely to lead the side. Kagiso Rabada, Chris Morris have done well with bat and ball. It is the batting department they need to focus on. It will be interesting to see whether Marlon Samuels gets a chance in the Playing XI or not.
