IPL 2017, DD v KXIP, preview: Will Hashim Amla play?

Indian Premier League 2017, DD v KXIP: Delhi Daredevils handed Kings XI Punjab a 51-run drubbing in their first home game at Feroz Shah Kotla

Both the teams are looking to make it to the playoffs and hence today’s game is important for both the teams. Hashim  Amla who missed out on the last game could be making a comeback as that will bolster KXIP batting. The pacers of DD will hold the key, they have been the best bowling unit in the tournament one can say. For KXIP, it is high time Glenn Maxwell their star player gets back to making runs and David Miller has not had the best of seasons and he would like to change that.

Delhi Daredevils handed Kings XI Punjab a 51-run drubbing in their first home game at Feroz Shah Kotla.

In 19 games between these two teams, Kings XI have won 10 times. There are some caveats, however. Kings XI have lost to Daredevils four times in their last five matches but, in Mohali, they have lost only once in four games.

If Amla is not there, Martin Guptill would open. Also thyere are question marks over Ishant Sharma or T Natarajan.

Glenn Maxwell has made 55 runs in 29 balls against Amit Mishra, but the legspinner has dismissed him more than any other bowler in the IPL – four times.
