Here’s why Chelsea will DEFINITELY become the 2016/17 Premier League champions

The Blues remain keen on winning their 5th Premier League title since its inception in 1992

Chelsea is currently leading the 2016/17 Premier League table, having picked up 40 points from only 16 games. They are clearly the media favourites to lift the title in the ongoing campaign. The Blues have won 13 games, drawn once and lost twice this season. Ironically, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal who are the only clubs to have come out on top in the encounters against Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, are presently both behind the leaders by a margin of six points, with just 34 points under their belt. Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspurs, Manchester United are the clubs fighting for the last Champions League position, they are on 33, 30, and 27 points, respectively.

The Stamford Bridge outfit have always gone on to lift the Premier League title every season when they top the table at Christmas. The Blues were the league leaders in 2004, 2005, 2009, and 2014, and in the very same seasons, they became Premier League champions. So going by that fact, they remain on course to win their fifth championship title since the Premier league’s inception in 1992. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and the fans have already started celebrating as they are banking on the history to once again repeat itself.

Since losing to the Reds and the Gunners, the Blues are on a rollercoaster ride, winning 10 times out of 10. The side that finished 10th in the table last year, has completely transformed into a team that is simply dominating the English league this year. The 47-year-old Italian boss just changed the formation from 4-2-3-1 to 3-4-3, and that has worked wonders. The constant pressure which surrounded the outfit is off now, the players and staff look determined and passionate enough to at least dream of winning the Premier League again. However, Conte has warned them of maintaining focus and not to become complacent. And thus, if they remain positive and continue to play like this, Chelsea will certainly lift their 5th Premier League title, there’s no stopping them.
