Will Narendra Modi attend Yuvraj Singh-Hazel Keech’s gala wedding?

Yuvraj Singh along with his mother met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament on November 25 to invite him to his wedding.

While several bigwigs from the world of cricket and Bollywood are expected to attend Yuvraj Singh’s marriage to Hazel Keech, there is a question everybody might be asking: Will Prime Minister Narendra Modi attend the wedding?

Yes. On November 25, Yuvraj along with his mother Shabnam Singh met PM Modi in Parliament to invite him to the wedding. The left-handed batsman also presented the invitation card to him. With the Modi government facing heat from the opposition in Parliament on the demonetisation issue, it is to be seen whether the esteemed guest attends the wedding or not.

The couple is tying the knot at a gurudwara at Fatehgarh Sahib on Wednesday. On December 2, they will get married as per Hindu rituals in Goa. A sangeet and reception ceremony will take place on December 5 and 7 respectively. While the sangeet will be held in a farmhouse near Chhattarpur in Delhi, the reception is scheduled to be held in a city hotel.

However, Yuvraj’s father Yograj Singh will not attend his son’s wedding at the gurudwara as it was being solemnised before a religious guru Baba Ram Singh. The former Test cricketer said he believed in god and not a religious guru. Yuvraj and Hazel got engaged in November last year in Bali. The couple had been dating for more than a year. Keech is a British-Mauritian model and actor, famously known for playing the role of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s friend in Salman Khan-starrer Bodyguard.

On the other hand, Yuvraj has played 40 Tests and 293 one-day internationals for India. He was the man-of-the-series for his all-round performance during India’s victorious campaign at the ICC World Cup 2011.
