‘Birthday Boy’ Ravindra Jadeja gets a wicket off a No-Ball! — WATCH

Dhananjaya and Chandimal stitched an unbeaten 84-run partnership for the fifth wicket at the end of the first session on final day of Delhi Test

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who turned 29 on December 6, got a wicket off a no-ball during the third and the final Test match against Sri Lanka at Delhi’s Ferozshah Kotla stadium.

Jadeja, who is at number 2 in the ICC Test bowler’s rankings, claimed the wicket of Angelo Mathews. Later, the video replays showed that the delivery was not a legal one.

During the 22nd over of the Sri Lanka’s second innings, Jadeja bowled a tossed up delivery just outside the off stump which Mathews, who was batting at 1, tried to defend.

Mathews, however, failed to read the awkward bounce as he ended up edging the ball which landed straight in Ajinkya Rahane’s hands at first slip. The on-field umpire failed to spot the no-ball and Mathews had to walk back to the pavilion
