Amidst the confusion whether third Test between India and Sri Lanka will continue or not? whether the smog levels are too harsh for Sri Lankan cricketers or not? Virender Sehwag took a dig at Wriddhiman Saha on Day 2 at Feroz Shah Kotla. After recurring halts in play due to complaints from Sri Lankan players, Indian skipper Virat Kohli lost concentration and got out leg before wicket to Lakshan Sandakan and missed out on another golden chance of scoring a triple century in Tests. But, this got Saha trolled somehow.
After on-field Umpire raised his finger to Sandakan’s appeal, Kohli walked up to the non-striker end batsman Saha to ask whether he should opt for Decision Review System (DRS) or not. Saha gave him the green signal but the hawk-eye showed that the ball was clearly hitting the stumps, not even Umpire’s call. Sehwag did not seem to like the idea of wasting a review as he took on Saha.
Sehwag felt that Saha is of no help when it comes to taking DRS because he can’t even make calls when he is wicketkeeping behind the wickets and asking him is a complete waste of time. Sehwag was not outrageous in his remarks either as a wicketkeeper does tend to know at times whether the ball is hitting the stumps or not.

That’s what MS Dhoni perfects at, every time Kohli asks the former Indian skipper, he comes up with near-perfect calls. Saha on the other hand, refrains from taking reviews or making a strong call. Sehwag pointed out that Saha is not one to consult when it comes to DRS whether he is in front of stumps or behind the stumps.

Kohli got out for 243 runs from 287 balls including 25 boundaries. The 29-year-old declared the innings as well after Sri Lankan players struggled to field and complained about the smog at numerous occasions.
