IPL 2018, SRH vs RCB: Yusuf’s ONE-HANDED Blinder To Dismiss Kohli Seems Way Better Than Boult’s

IPL 2018, SRH vs RCB: Royal Challengers Bangalore require another 60 runs with 5 wickets and 42 balls remaining

Yusuf Pathan’s one-handed catch to dismiss Virat Kohli seems like a top contender for the best catch in Indian Premier League 2018. The incident is also being touted as a game-changing moment. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the toss and put Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to bat which seemed like a weird decision considering the ability SRH have when it comes to defending low scores in the tournament.

The incident transpired in the second innings when RCB were batting. It was the 10th over and Virat Kohli was facing Shakib-al-Hasan who tossed the ball, Kohli tried to pull but was cramped for room and the ball looped up to get the leading edge of the bat and the catch was taken by Yusuf at the short third man. He took it one-handed! For a while, it looked like Yusuf would not get a hold on the ball and that it would go over him, but eventually, he stuck his right hand out to pluck that.

The comparison of catch with the one Trent Boult took has already started making the rounds on the social space. Here is proof.

As we speak, RCB require another 60 runs with 5 wickets and 42 balls remaining. For RCB, it has not been a year they would like to remember. They have played well in glimpses but not consistently.
