IPL 2018: Impressed With Taj Mahal, AB de Villiers Wishes To Name His 2nd Child ‘Taj’ — Watch

IPL 2018: AB de Villiers proposed to his wife Danielle at Taj Mahal in 2012, tied the knot in 2013 and was blessed with a baby boy whom he named Abraham

The staggering popularity of AB de Villiers in India is not surprising. His presence in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the last 11 years has earned him as much love and respect as is received by Indian favourites like MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. On the other hand, AB himself acknowledges the affection he has been getting from the Indians for over a decade. Moreover, he proposed to his wife Danielle at Taj Mahal back in 2012 when they were here during the IPL. And recently, the former South African Test skipper has wished to name his second kid, if he has one in the future, ‘Taj’.

During an interview with sports anchor Vikram Sathaye at his YouTube talk show, What The Duck, De Villiers expressed this wish after listening to the story of Jhonty Rhodes naming her daughter ‘India’. He first came up with a naming option as ‘Karnataka’ but he thinks, Taj de Villiers would be a strong name for a boy.
