India thrashed Sri Lanka 3-0 in the Test series and as things get in order for the start of the 1st One Day International, it seems team India captain Virat Kohli is in red-hot form, at least in the nets. In a net session just ahead of the match, Virat Kohli who was looking to get himself warmed up, decided to hit balls at the net. Yes, and he hit them out of the Dambulla stadium. Three sixes in three balls! If Virat Kohli hitting balls in the nets is anything to go by, then Sri Lankan’s are in for a torrid day. After hitting the sixes, he welcomed Mahendra Singh Dhoni to take the nets. Virat Kohli also tried to emulate MS Dhoni’s helicopter shot on his way to the net.

India plays Sri Lanka in a 5-match ODI series. After a humiliating loss to India in Tests, Sri Lankan selectors have taken some stern steps. For starters, Upul Tharanga would be leading Sri Lanka and Lasith Malinga has also been recalled to the squad. Dinesh Chandimal, who was the captain in the Test series, has been harshly been dropped from the 15-member squad.

The first ODI will be played at Dambulla. Virat Kohli, in the meanwhile, was seen spending time with Bollywood starlet Anushka Sharma. They were seen doing sap plantation together.

In the match against Sri Lanka, Virat Kohli should be fresh and raring to go, after he did not have a great Test series according to his standards.
