Glenn Maxwell’s Hitting Skills Were So On Point That He Found The Spider Cam With Perfection

Glenn Maxwell: Not just a threat to bowlers but spider cams too!

Glenn Maxwell is one of the most ferocious hitters of the cricket ball in world cricket.

His astounding strike rate of 159.92 should be enough to prove this.

At the T20I at Gabba, Maxwell was on song against Indian bowlers in the middle overs. Even his mishits did not let him down. Him hitting the spider cam is an example of that.

In the 16th over, Maxwell struck Krunal Pandya for a maximum. He tried to follow it up with another biggie. In an attempt to do it, the ball came in contact with the bottom end of the bat and went straight up in the air hitting the spider cam.

The miscued shot could have costed him his wicket but it ended up being signalled a dead ball because it hit the spider cam. Had the camera not been there, it would have found a pair of hands in the outfield.

Here’s the video of the all-rounder’s unusual strike:

The Twitter feed was fun to read after that one from the 30-year-old:

In Gully Cricket.

Glenn Maxwell would have been declared OUT

Never thought of this one

What happens if the “flying fox” costs either the batting or bowling side victory in a key game? Could have been a wicket or runs. @htTweets #AUSvIND @timesofindia @theagesport @SMHsport #glennmaxwell

Well, the destructive nature is similar

Unrelated but pure gold!

Glenn Maxwell has treated Krunal Pandya the same way Donald Trump did Jim Acosta #AUSvIND #EasyAs #WhoAreYa

Maxwell scored 46 runs off 24 deliveries at a strike rate of 191.67. He did not hit a single boundary in his innings but four sixes. All four sixes came off Pandya’s bowling. He turned around things in the field too pulling off a stunner in the last over to dismiss Krunal.
