Australian opener Aaron Finch’s one post on social media stirred a controversy among the Indian and Pakistani Twitterati recently. After Australia defeated India in the 2nd T20I in Guwahati on October 10, the Australian team bus was attacked by some local residents. Post this attack, Finch took to his Twitter handle to post a picture of the broken bus window. In reply to this post, the residents of Assam including Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and many others replied and expressed their sorrows. Many of the Twitterati apologised for the dreadful incident, however, some of the replies took the entire situation to some other direction.
As soon as the Pakistani Twitterati came across Aaron Finch’s post, they started criticising and insulting the Indian administration for this mishap. Some of them even advised Indians to take lessons from Pakistan how to host other nation players. The Indian fans soon slammed them and recalled the 2009 attack on the Sri Lanka team bus which left several players seriously injured.

Soon after the incident, the local police took strict action and nabbed two people involved in the stone pelting incident. A few hours after the incident, the Twitter was flooded with apologies from the Indian fans.
