Twitterati are not happy with BCCI after India vs Australia 3rd T20I in Hyderabad got abandoned

Twitter erupted with reactions against BCCI after the Hyderabad T20I was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to wet outfield

Cricket fans around the world did not get an expected end to the India vs Australia T20I series as Hyderabad T20I got called off due to wet outfield. The Umpires had a long discussion after every inspection as they strolled around the park checking whether the ground is fit to play or not. After numerous inspections and discussions with match referees and both the captains, the Umpires decided to call off the match without a ball being balled. It was disheartening for the fans who turned up in huge numbers waiting for even a rain-curtailed match.

The only entertainment Hyderabad crowd got was the practice session of Indian batsmen. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya decided to have a little fun of their own when the match was delayed. They tried their hand at left-handed batting trying to hit the ball as hard as they can.

Sharma failed miserably as switch-hitting is clearly not his forte. Kohli, Pandya and Dhoni took their time to get into the groove while Jadhav was spot on from the beginning hitting the ball as if he was a left-handed batsman. This was the closest Hyderabad fans got to any action as the series decider was abandoned.

Twitter reactions were bound to come as fans were disappointed in the management for not able to conduct at least a rain-curtailed match. They blamed Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the abandoned T20I.

#HCA has poor Infrastructure. Administrators with no sports sense are ruining the beautiful game of cricket. Shame on @BCCI ! #INDvAUS

Occupancy in #HCA ground was 29,851 @ESPNcricinfo. @BCCI should refund spectators with interest. #INDvAUS @DrGVivekanand

Australian skipper David Warner and Kohli will be sharing the trophy as there was no reserve day for the final T20I. Once again Ashish Nehra could not play in the T20I after making a comeback into the squad. Nehra announced his retirement on October 12 and will be playing his final game on November 1 against New Zealand at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi.
