Aakash Chopra and Vinod Kambli get into a Twitter brawl for 2 days. Find out who won

There was no personal issue between Aakash Chopra and Vinod Kambli. Still, their war of words went on for 2 days on social media

While Indian cricket team was busy playing Sri Lanka in the final Test match in Delhi, two former Indian cricketers got engaged in a Twitter war which stretched for two days. It all started when cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra and former Indian batsman Vinod Kambli had an argument over inducting Ajinkya Rahane at number 3 in the second innings in Delhi Test.

On the 4th day of the play, Rahane was sent to bat after Murali Vijay got out. Chopra took to his Twitter handle to appreciate Team India’s this move and wished Rahane could get some runs. He tweeted:

Good on India to send Rahane at 3….must get some runs before boarding the flight to SA. #IndvSL

Well, Kambli didn’t agree with Chopra and questioned how Rahane is going to score runs.

He tweeted:

MR CHOPRA,how will he get runs? Can you suggest https://t.co/19uSx3jZlP

But Chopra didn’t reply to Kambli’s question which prompted him to ask it again.

Mr chopra, how will he get runs? Do you have any solution for that pls advise https://t.co/19uSx3jZlP

However, Chopra still chose not to respond to his question. Next day, the adamant Kambli posted on Chopra’s timeline raising the same question with an extra sentence saying: “our entire cricketing nation wants to know”.

@cricketaakash .Good morning to you Mr Chopra.Kindly reply to my previous tweet, our entire cricketing nation wants to know

Almost a day later, Chopra replied and gave it back to Kambli in style. He tweeted,

G’mrng, hope you’re well….please provide proof that the entire cricketing nation wants to know

That was indeed a smart answer from Mr Chopra but wasn’t enough to satisfy Kambli’s anxiety about how Rahane will score runs. So, he asked it again and this was with a happy face emoji!

@cricketaakash.Mr Chopra the main question remains unanswered.Where and how he should scores runs?

After enough of banter on the social media, Chopra turned out to the wiser one. He stopped this episode and said that the matter can be discussed on the phone.

We should get on a call and discuss this…instead of doing it here. You know where to get my number from…

This war of words between Chopra and Kambli ended somehow but Rahane’s streak of poor performance didn’t. He was dismissed after scoring just 10 runs in the second innings. He finished the three-Test series with mere 17 runs from five innings.
