Supreme Courts convicts Sasikala in disproportionate asset case, to be jailed for 4 years

In a massive blow to AIADMK General Secretary Sasikala Natarajan, the Supreme Court on February 14 convicted her in the disproportionate asset case.

Now that she has been convicted, she will not be qualified to be the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Additionally, she would not also be allowed to contest elections for 6 years. AIADMK MLA held ‘captive’ by Sasikala escapes resort, lands at Panneerselvam’s residence

MLA who has been identified as SS Saravanan escaped the beach resort and landed up at O Panneerselvam’s residence. After reaching his house, he told the media that he had scaled the wall and managed to escape adding that he had to disguise himself to put his plan into action.

Additionally, this came on the day, Sasikala decided to stay back at the resort after having a meeting with the MLAs. AIADMK General Secretary V.K. Sasikala addressed a press conference, a day ahead of the Supreme Court verdict in the Dearness Allowance case involving her. Man enters DMK Chief Karunanidhi’s house with a toy gun, demands money from wife

In an alarming incident, a man bearing a toy gun entered DMK Supremo Karunanidhi’s house in Chennai on February 13 and threatened his wife to give him money. The intruder had reportedly stayed overnight in the house without coming to anyone’s notice.

According to several media report, the incident took place in Karunanidhi’s Mylapore residence and the DMK chief was present in the house at the time of the burglary attempt. M Karunanidhi’s wife Rajathi Ammal has been living in the house with her daughter and DMK Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi. Read More
