5 times B-town divas showed checks and stripes are here to stay

Just when we thought that stripes and checks won't make a comeback in 2018, our Bollywood actresses decided to give us a reality check

It won’t be wrong to say that checks and stripes dominated the fashion trends last year. From shirts and trousers to sarees and red carpet outfits, we saw these patterns in zillion different ways. And just when we thought that 2018 would give our eyes a break from these ‘now-so-common’ vertical and horizontal lines, our Bollywood actresses decided to give us a reality check.

Yes, the checks and strips are going nowhere this year and here’s a proof:

1) The pleasing red and white candy stripes

Sonam Kapoor featured in the January issue of Elle. And, one of her outfits from the photoshoot was a trendy red and white candy stripped strapless top and pants from Johanna Ortiz.

2) Khadi + Stripes = Desi vibes

This cool blue and white stripes khadi suit worn by Taapsee Pannu is from the Little Things Studio. The hand-embroidered chikankari work on the jacket is what makes it exquisitely beautiful.

3) Checks and some more checks

Deepika Padukone chose to go for this beautiful flowy one-shoulder check dress from Rosetta Getty for the Vogue BFF and made many heads turn.

5) A classic affair

Last but not the least, actress Rakul Preet Singh wore these monochrome stripes pants from Archana Rao label during the promotion of her upcoming film Aiyaary and made us fall in love with the black and stripes all over again.
