Watch: Woman lawyer faints after brutal attack for fighting against encroachment in Delhi

The woman lawyer in Delhi was beaten till she lost consciousness for her drive against illegal encroachment

A woman advocate was brutally beaten by a mother-daughter duo in Delhi’s Rohini for her drive against illegal encroachment into public property in her neighborhood. Anu Jain, a lawyer at Delhi High Court, had earlier complained to police over illegal encroachment that saw too little action.

Later, she filed a petition in Delhi High court seeking action against illegal structures. Subsequently, the court passed an order to demolish them. The Court’s verdict saw several demolition in her neighborhood, however there was this mother-daughter duo who could not take the demolition of their staircase easily.

They attacked Jain on April 11 and beat her up until she fell unconscious. In the video it can be seen that the woman literally sits on the advocate while her daughter joins in the beating with two sticks. In between, they keep hurling abuses at her.

The attack continued for over two minutes where the neighbor choked the advocate until she literally lost consciousness. When she woke up, she was covered in cuts and bruises.Jain was thrashed in front of her adolescent son who was also beaten when he tried to help her mother.

As a helpless child, he recorded a video of the same and called a local police station for help. Meanwhile, an FIR has been lodged in the North Rohini, Delhi police station.
