Furious over the dirt gathered around Vidhan Sabha, new Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s cabinet minister picked up the broom and started sweeping the area himself. In a video that has gone viral, Tiwari can be seen picking up the groom and sweeping the area outside his office as the other officials watched.

This comes a day after UP CM Yogi Adityanath banned all kind of Ghutkas, paan masala’s and plastic in all the government offices while urging the officials to keep their surrounding clean. Upendra Tiwari is among the 47 cabinet minister in the Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government.

Yesterday, UP Deputy CM, Keshav Prasad Maurya made an announcement saying the UP CM has asked the government offices including hospitals, schools and colleges to stop the consumption of tobacco substances during the duty hours. The annoucement came avfter Yogi Adityanath visited the annexe building in Lucknow and noticed the red-stained walls.

“The chief minister visited the annexe building and officials posted there. After detecting stains on walls, he directed the employees to not consume pan or pan masala while on duty and ensure cleanliness,” Maurya told the media.

Adityanath had also went on to ban illegally-run slaughterhouses in Varanasi and Allahabad. He has also directed to set up a committee called the Anti-romeo squads who would be responsible to keeping a check on eve teasers in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Adityanath took oath as the Chief Minister of the state replacing Akhilesh Yadav after the bJP registered a historic win in UP. BJP is back in the state after 14 years.
