Uttar Pradesh’s small town girl all set to join ISRO as a scientist

Working in an institution of which the former President was a part, is something like living the dreams, says the girl!

A small town Indian girl will now be serving as a scientist at the Indin Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and she says that her dreams have come true. 26-year-old Apoorva Agrawal hails from a township called Sasni in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras district. She completed her MTech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, and then appeared for the ISRO exams. Among 40,000 youths who appeared for this exam, Apoorva was among the 200 selected candidates. As per the media reports, she considered this success as her childhood dream come true as she has been always passionate for the subject microwave and microelectronics.

She said she would join ISRO in last week of April of in the first week of May. The reports quoted her as saying,”I always wanted to achieve something prestigious in life and now I’m proud that I have been selected for ISRO.”

Apoorva’s father, Pradeep Agarwal runs a shop in Aligarh and now he is very glad on his daughter’s selection. He said,”I faced many problems as the education facilities are not good here. In never bothered about what people said and now I’m proud of her.”

Apoorva did her schoolings from Hathras and pursued her BTech from Lucknow. She had also cleared the NET exam in December 2016. She was always worried about not getting a chance for higher studies and get married young. But now she is totally relieved. She said,” Dr APJ Abdul Kalam always inspired me and I have read all his books as well. Working in an institution of which the former President was a part, is something like living my dreams.”
