This Indian man cycled 7000 km to meet his Swedish wife and they lived happily ever after

Would you cycle for over 7,000 km to meet the one you love?
This Valentine’s Day meet PK Mahanandia who traveled more than 4,000 miles to meet the love of his life, a Swedish woman, Charlotte Von Schedvin. Inspired by a prophecy Mahanandia rode a bike from India to Sweden. It was December 17, 1975 when Charlotte appeared before his easel and approached him with a request for a portrait at Delhi’s Cannaught Place. And that was the beginning of their love story. They have been married for more than 40 years. Along the way, he got letters from Charlotte in Kandahar, Kabul, and Istanbul, which encouraged him to complete the long voyage. With $80 in his pocket he completed his journey to show his love for his wife. Their saga has been recounted by Per J. Andersson in the book The Amazing Story of the Man Who Cycled From India to Europe for Love. There’s even talk of turning the story into a Hollywood movie starring Dev Patel.
