This 7-Year-Old Indian Boy Scaled Africa’s Highest Peak

He was accompanied by fellow mountaineers in the 5-day trek.

Samanyu Pothuraju from Hyderabad isn’t just like any other 7-year-old kid. And what makes him unique is that he recently scaled Africa’s highest mountain peak. The boy climbed the 5,895 meters high Uhuru peak of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in a mountaineering expedition. The boy was accompanied by his coach,  a few other mountaineers and a Tanzanian doctor.  The five-day trek was completed on April 2. He now plans to climb the mountains of Australia in May and aims to set a new world record.

Way to go, little champ!
