Shocking! Dogs eat up 70-year-old woman who went missing from government hospital in MP

The miserable condition of government hospitals in Madhya Pradesh in no secret and the gruesome incidents by the animals mauling people to death adds to it. In a fifth incident at government hospitals in less than 10 months, a mauled body of an elderly woman was found in the government hospital premises in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh on March 26.

According to a leading English daily the Times Of India, the stray dogs ate up the body of a 70-year-old woman, Bismillah Khan, who went missing from the hospital on March 22. The remains of the horrific incident were spotted by the sanitation workers of the hospital after the intolerable stench was emanating with it. The woman was identified from her purse and scraps of her sari and sweater.

An official told TOI that “It was just a head and half the torso. Even that had been chewed up. It was gruesome. There wasn’t much left for a post-mortem.”

Several distressing and disturbing incidents were reported from government hospitals in Madhya Pradesh. Earlier in January, the mauled body of a newborn was found in the garden of Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital, Indore. Maharaja Yeshwantrao is the largest government hospital in Madhya Pradesh.

While on December 22, 2016, rats were reported eating up the eyes of a corpse in Hamidia Hosptial in Bhopal.

In June 2016, stray dogs had reportedly took away the body of a stillborn from the burns unit of the Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital.
