Now, Sharad Pawar claims to have conducted 3-4 surgical strikes as defence minister

The Congress on Wednesday claimed that the UPA II government had carried out three surgical strikes in 2011, 2013 and 2014.

Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Thursday claimed the Indian Army carried out 3-4 surgical strikes during his stint as India’s defence minister.

According to India Today, Pawar said the Narendra Modi government should not have publicised the surgical strikes.

Pawar served as the country’s defence minister from 1991 to 1993 during the prime ministerial stint of PV Narasimha Rao.

The Congress on Wednesday claimed that the UPA II government had carried out three surgical strikes in 2011, 2013 and 2014 but did not make it public, Indian Express reported.
