Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar attended the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. However, Sachin was passive during the proceedings of the house and did not ask any questions either. The former cricketer marked his presence days after Samajwadi Party MP Naresh Agarwal questioned the absence of nominated members from the Upper House. He also sought resignation of Sachin and actress Rekha on grounds that they have the worst attendance in the Rajya Sabha among the 12 nominated members.. “They should resign if they are not interested in Parliament They are hardly present in Parliament,” Agarwal had said. Since being nominated in 2012, Sachin’s attendance has been less than 10%. While Sachin was silently sitting in the parliament, Twitteratis used the occasion to poke fun at the ‘God fo Cricket’ for his poor attendance as Member of Parliament. Boxer Mary Kom was also present in the House, but no surprises, all the jokes were on Sachin.
