PM Modi talks about digital economy but sends Rs 3 crore to BJP office in cash: Congress

Congress has levelled allegations against PM Narendra Modi saying that even though he promotes digital economy he transfers crores of cash to BJP office.

Congress on 29 December unleashed a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleging that the BJP speaks about promoting digital payments but sends crores of money to party offices.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala alleged that the BJP transferred Rs 3 crore in cash to BJP’s UP office. He claimed that the police had recently seized Rs 3 crore from two persons in Ghaziabad, after which BJP leader Ashok Monga reached the police station and handed over a letter from BJP president Amit Shah stating that the money was being sent from BJP headquarters to BJP Lucknow office.

Taking a dig at the BJP Congress asserted that this is the time when the poor will stand in the line and rich and corrupt will benefit.
