Markandey Katju draws a unique connection between Arvind Kejriwal and Mao ZeDong’s wife Chiang Ching

Markandey Katju has compared Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to Mao ZeDong's wife Chiang Ching who was the leader of 'gang of four'

Former Chairman, Press Council of India, Markandey Katju on May 3 compared Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to the founding father of the People’s Republic of China, Mao ZeDong’s wife Chiang Ching. Katju through his Facebook post, went on to say that Arvind Kejriwal has a “Gang of four” just like Chian Ching did.

Katju further stated that this particular thing was proved by Kejriwal’s close aide Kumar Vishwas amid the rising political tension within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). “Mao Ze Dong’s wife Chiang Ching had her Chandaal Chaukdi (Gang of Four) and so does Arvind Kejriwal. This is now confirmed by Kumar Vishwas,” he said.

While some went on to agree with Katju, some of them went on to express their sympathies for the Delhi Chief Minister. Mao ZeDong’s wife Chiang Ching was the leader of the “Gang of four” who were charged with treason during the cultural revolution of China.

Kumar Vishwas wants decisions in AAP to be taken democratically. But that is not possible as long as AK is surrounded by his Chandal Chaukdi

His post comes amid the growing turmoil within the AAP after the party’s humiliating defeat in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections. In a bid to keep the flock together, Arvind Kejriwal had even urged his senior party leaders to stay away from the media. Kumar Vishwas had asserted that the party did not suffer a loss in the MCD polls because of EVMs but because people did not vote for the party. Following which, Amanatullah Khan lashed out at Kumar Vishwas and alleged that he was conspiring against AAP. Vishwas refuted all the allegations while affirming that he had no intention of becoming the Chief Minister of the national capital.
