Kapil Mishra’s allegations against Arvind Kejriwal are baseless: Manish Sisodia on Delhi CM accepting bribe

In a dramatic turn of events, Kapil Mishra has claimed that he has seen Arvind Kejriwal accepting bribe of Rs 2 crore from Satyendra Jain

Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on May 7 asserted that the allegations levelled by ousted minister Kapil Mishra against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal are not worth responding to and that they were absolutely “baseless”.

“His allegations are not even worth responding to, they are so absurd and without any facts,” Manish Sisodia told the media.

In a dramatic turn of events, Kapil Mishra who was sacked by Arvind Kejriwal’s as the water minister of Delhi alleged that he had seen the Delhi Chief Minister accepting a bribe of Rs 2 crore from health minister Satyendra Jain at his residence. While speaking to the media, Kapil Mishra affirmed that he was being targetted for “exposing” a scam.

“I could not sleep all night after I saw Satyendra Jain giving a bribe of Rs 2 crore to Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal did not answer when I questioned him about the money,” Kapil Mishra told the media. Mishra also alleged that Arvind Kejriwal refused to explain when he confronted him about the money that he “accepted” from Satyendra Jain. Manish Sisodia who addressed the media soon after Kapil Mishra made such allegations maintained that Kapil Mishra was removed from his position because of the problems that continued to rise in the water department.

Meanwhile, Kapil Mishra has vowed to continue his fight against corruption and has demanded a detailed investigation into the matter. Mishra has also affirmed that he will provide the necessary evidence to the CBI and the other investigation agencies if required. Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday removed Kapil Mishra as the water minister of Delhi. Kapil Mishra has been replaced by Kailash Gehlot.
