If Modi can attend wedding at Nawaz Sharif’s home, why can’t he speak to Pak on Kulbhushan Jadhav: Congress

Congress who raised the issue of Kulbhushan Jadhav in Lok Sabha slammed PM Narendra Modi for not speaking about the issue

A day after military court in Pakistan awarded death sentence to alleged Indian spy, Kulbhushan Jadhav, Congress raised the issue in Lok Sabha and slammed Prime Mim Narendra Modi for not speaking on the issue. Memebers of Lok Sabha raised the issue in the parliament and condemned the death sentence while urging the Indian government to take action against the death sentence.

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge lashed out at PM Narendra Modi and asserted that if Prime Minitser can attend Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s grand daughters wedding then why could he not speak to Pakistan against Kulbhushan Jadhav’s death sentence. He further said if Kulbhushan Singh is hanged to death it will be regarded as pre-planned murder and that it would be major failure on the government’s part if they fail to save him.

Meanwhile, Union minister Ananth Kumar affirmed that the house was united on the issue of Kulbhushan Jadhav and that the Home minister Rajnath Singh will issue a statement on the issue.

Former Indian navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav who was arrested in March 2016 was awarded death sentence by a military court on charges of espionage. India lodged a protest against the sentence and asserted that if Pakistan went ahead witht the sentence, it would be regarded as a “premeditated murder”.
