Tata says Bye Bye to Mistry, Twitter finds the pun

In a sudden decision, Cyrus was removed from the top post and Ratan Tata was asked to take over the reigns for the next four months.

Monday seems to be a bad day for the ‘new gen’. The entire morning was filled with images of the Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav downsizing his son and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. And now, another old guard has taken charge. Four years after he stepped down as Tata Chairman paving way for Cyrus Mistry, Ratan Tata is back at the helm of affairs.

In a sudden decision on Monday, Cyrus was removed from the top post and Ratan Tata was asked to take over the reigns for the next four months till a new chairman is appointed. Mistry would have completed four years as the Chairman in December. Reports say he was slowly and steadily changing the way the group conducts its business.

Twitter cannot get enough of this sudden transition.
