KRK slams PM Narendra Modi after he speaks on ‘gau rakshaks’ in Gujarat

The response from KRK came after Prime Minister's office tweeted, "Killing people in the name of Gau Bhakti is not acceptable."

Kamaal R Khan aka KRK, who is known for stoking controversies, took a dig at Prime Minster Narendra Modi today, after the latter said that killing humans in name of cow protection is not acceptable. Taking a dig at PM Modi, KRK took to Twitter and wrote, “Modi Sir, if Mahatma Gandhi wouldn’t approve, so what? You approved and that’s enough for Bhakts.”

The response from KRK came after Prime Minister’s office tweeted, “Killing people in the name of Gau Bhakti is not acceptable. This is not something Mahatma Gandhi would approve: PM.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Sabarmati Ashram centenary celebrations in Ahmedabad and while addressing the people, he spoke about the rampant cow vigilantism in the country and said that killing humans in the name of cow protection is not ‘gau raksha’.

Speaking about the issue, PM Modi said that no one spoke about protecting cows more than Mahatma Gandhi and Acharya Vinoba Bhave, however, killing people in the name of ‘Gau Bhakti’ (faith on cows) is not acceptable. “This is not something Mahatma Gandhi would approve,” said the Prime Minister.

Reacting strongly on the recent incidents of lynching in the name of cow vigilantism, PM Modi today said, “India is a land of non-violence. A land of Mahatma Gandhi. Why do we forget that.”

“Let’s all work together. Let’s create the India of Mahatma Gandhi’s dreams. Let’s create an India our freedom fighters would be proud of,” added the PM.
