‘Kiss and run’ prankster Sumit Verma arrested in Gurgaon

The Delhi Crime Branch officers arrested Verma and his associate Satyajeet from Gurgaon on January 13.

A week after a case was lodged against prankster Sumit Verma, who has posted a video on YouTube in which he was seen randomly kissing girls and running away, the police nabbed him on January 13 along with one of his associates on the charges of molestation.

Under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of IPC and Section 67 (punishment for publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of IT Act, a case was registered against Verma last week.

As reported by the police, the Delhi Crime Branch officers arrested Verma and his associate Satyajeet, who shot the videos, from Gurgaon on January 13.

After facing a massive criticism, the prank video was taken off from the Youtube but Delhi Police already had an eye on it.

Sumit has a youtube channel by the name of ‘The Crazy Sumit’. He has a team of people, useless like him, who wander with him in parks and on the roads and play what he calls ‘pranks’ on people. The videos posted on his Youtube page include ones where he snatches mobile phones from girls or hugs people sleeping in parks just to record their reaction.

He also had posted an apology video following his ‘kiss and run’ prank video but that has also been taken off the website.
