A shocking incident that has come to light from Thiruvananthapuram, a couple allegedly killed their 25-year-old son as they were tired of violence which he used to carry out under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The police have arrested deceased’s parents and his younger brother for their alleged involvement in the murder. In the past also they tried to kill their son but failed in their attempts.
This incident took place on June 1, when Santhosh’s parents threw acid on his face and hit him with an iron rod. On Sunday, 53-year-old Sreedharan, Saraswathy (47), and their younger son Sajin (21) were arrested by the Parassala police. The murder came to light when a neighbour came to Sreedharan’s house, who is an auto driver but found the body of Santhosh lying in a pool of blood and could not find Sreedharan and Saraswathy.

When he tried to ask Santhosh’s younger about it, he behaved as if he did not know anything about it. The neighbour then alerted the police about it, soon after which deceased younger brother went missing.

Parassala Inspector Binu said, “The neighbour informed police and by the time we reached there all of them were absconding. But, after two days, mother and son surrendered. They told us that they were tired of Santhosh’s violence and that he used to attack them every day after drinking or taking drugs. Santhosh also did not go for any work. A day before his death also he had assaulted his mother”.
