Army guns down three militants in J&K’s Handwara, huge cache of arms seized

The Indian Army recovered a huge cache of arms from the militants after the encounter in Handwara.

Three militants were gunned down by the Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir’s Handwara area early Thursday morning.

Huge cache of arms and ammunition having ‘Made in Pakistan’ markings was recovered from the militants. The Army also recovered medical paraphernalia from them.

“The maps and metric sheets they used are also being analysed, and the medicines recovered have ‘Made in Pakistan’ markings,” Col Rajiv Saharan, a senior army official, said.
